Sheep Pig?? They must be joking!

Sheep or pig? The mangalitsa was bred from hardy Hungarian pigs (Bakonyi and Szalontai) crossed with the Ĺ umadijas from Serbian. It is totally swine. It produces less meat then the naked pink pigs you're used to seeing, so it has become quite rare. Image credit: Dreamstime

Well, I say if you can't tell this is a pig, then you might want to get your eyes examined.  Zelda had never met a pig before she met me and she could easily tell that that is a picture of a PIG!  This piggy has some long curly hair, but it still looks
like a piggy, just one with long curly hair! cheezsh!  Now it is true I have never met a sheep, but I disagree with the "Strange News" people on LiveScience.  It is more than "a closer inspection of the head and face reveals a decidedly porcine countenance."  Its WHOLE body has a porcine countenance!  So, what do you think?

Secret Agent 008 and 008.5

The other day Zelda and I overheard Tecumy talking on the phone.  Some guy she had met and had a conversation with at the deli section down at the supermarket called her.  He wanted to met her at a local
restaurant for dinner.  I think I have told you all before that we are homebodies.  Humom calls herself a “hermit”.  We take imaginary trips, so Zelda and I were kind of shocked when Tecumy agreed to meet this guy.  Shocked and worried.  We didn’t know him and we are real protective of our humom, we don’t want anything bad to happen to her.  That’s when we decided we’d better follow along in case she needed our help.  I had Zelda take the camera too.  Well, Tecumy seemed to like this guy and have a good time.  Zelda and I couldn’t figure out why.  Here’s a picture.  See what I mean?  He looks like a real “ boar” to us!

He! He! He!

Help for Haiti

As you probably already know, the country of Haiti has suffered a terrible tragedy. They were hit by a very strong earthquake that toppled a lot of buildings. Many people are hurt, many are missing and very sadly, many were killed.  Humom is very worried about her friends' families there, she prays for them a lot. We heard on the news that mean people are cheating others with fake charities that they say are going to help Haiti but are not.  If you would like to make a donation to help, Deryn Mentock of Something Sublime is having an auciton with matching donation. You can go here to participate.  Every little bit helps

UGGGH!!! I got the Human Flu!

I got it from my auntie Linda.  Even though Tecumy told her not to, she went and got a flu shot.  Guess what happened then?  She got the flu!  Yes siree bob!!  That’s why they call it the Flu shot.  She was sick as a dog!  For 2 whole weeks.  She had to go to the doctor and  take medicine and everything, yes siree bob!  She made Tecumy sick for a few days, then me!  Yuk!  I couldn’t hold my meals down, not fun!  And I wasn’t hungry.  Imagine that, a piggy not hungry! Can you say oxymoron??  I am feeling much better now.   Humom  has been giving me only banana, it is easy on my stomach and apple juicy water and I have been able to hold that down.  Humom has also been checking on me all day long, making sure I am ok, giving me banana snacks and making sure I stay tucked in under my binkies…..see why I love her?   She’s a keeper, yes siree, bob!
